Beijing to Moscow in early August?

Kind of left it a bit late, but just wondered if anyone else is in the same boat. I've just got an email from CITS saying that all tickets are booked for the whole of August. If this is the case, is there any way at all to get a ticket? If I hang around in Beijing, are there other sources of tickets I can try and tap? Any ideas or info much appreciated - otherwise my overland journey is going to come to a grinding halt!! Cheers.
