Hi! I plan to travel in Vlodivostok & Irkutsk for a week, and will be alone. Is it safe to travel alone there? I heard that there are a lot of robbers there. Can anyone give me some advice?

Do you speak Russian? If you do, that is already a big "safety net." If you don't, then it will be a very difficult trip.

You may encounter some Chinese nationals in the Far East, Chinese may come in handy.

Frankly, the Far East isn't one of the safest places in Russia. If you are not an experienced traveller, beware.

Better hook up with some locals or guides there.

I think if you don't speak russian it would be best not to be out at night. During the day is pretty safe, as long as your stay aware of your surroundings and don't find yourself in the wrong part of town.

I,ve been to Irkutsk a couple times when staying in the region to have my visa stamped, there were always a few Chinese people there, as you will need your visa stamped you might find someone to show you around.
