BTW Mr. Spice,
I don't see the so called dream as a problem as you inferred. Dreams can be very enlightening indeed. |

I am not an atheist. Just read the Bible and answer who created the Heavens and the Earth? He is the Creator of science. Science and spirituality can coexist.
As for MrSpice's view, we will never finish searching for all scientific answers. For spiritual answers, one just have to believe and have faith--'you just know'. |

Dream is not a problem. I did not infer anything of that sort. Dreams can be fun. After I visited St Petersburg, I had many strange dreams about it. But I never dreamt of Masachussetts |

Good suggestion Mediashark! Do we dare attempt to decipher the dreams of Mr. Spice? C'mon Spice do share at least one of your so called strange dreams you had after visiting St. Petersburg. We promise we won't charge you $100 an hour for our services either! |

| Dreams are a tricky thing - sometimes you wake up overwhelmed by them but then you forget them quickly. I don't remember the details now. It's sort of like a movie that you completely forget. But most of my dreams involved my old friends from Russia. I guess that is due to the unbelievable feeling when you meet people that you have not seen in 10-15 years. You see someone you remember as a child and he or she is now a grown person with kids... And seeing the streets/areas that you remember as a child and have certain memories of is quite interesting too. |

I used to keep a dream diary (and a little clip-on lamp marking the page and to shed a little light ) on my nightstand where the moment I wake up I scribble down something or doodle. I find that helps me recall almost the entire dream later on. But I do not like recording nightmares or dreams that disturb me--I'd rather just forget them and you know what? I usually do! |

Ever had a dream in a dream in a dream in a dream in a dream in a dream? My most disorienting dream ever went like this: I thought that I had woken up... And was lying in my bed. But then there was something weird in my room, not quite right. And this anomaly gets larger, until i realized that i was sleeping. And then I decided to wake myself up, something i did often in dusturbing dreams. Only to end up in a similar situation...
This happened 4 times in a row. The fifth time i was really awake, but by then it took me over half an hour to accept the fact. The whole day after that felt weird and unreal. |

Rick,
What you described is known as lucid dreaming. I have had that experience in the dream world once or twice,. It's very peculiar. On a superstious note, I think that some people believe that those who have lucid dreams are more in tune if you will with the spiritual world. Who knows? Ever read any of Carlos Casteneda's books i.e. Don Juan trilogy? Fascinating although peyote had something to do with the lucid dreams! |

I had some other peculiar dreams in the past. One in which i was visited by my grandfather, who had died years before. Well.. written like this it doesn't make it any special, but it had some similarities with the lucid dream.
Another one was a dream that 'predicted' an event that took place a week later, down to the smallest detail. I have a couple of people in my family that have similar experiences, some of them frequently.
I was raised a sceptic though and i don't easily given accept explanations for the dreams. Have to admit they were there though. I often remember them well for many years, while i may forget other dreams instantaneously. |

As they say, Life is a mystery!
Though I have my share of skepticism too, I have to admit that there are some things unexplainable and also that the important things in life are not material goods, wealth, fame and notoriety etc.! |

Well.. i never called myself a materialist. And i don't think scepticism always stands in the way of mystery. Not in a world where all our knowledge just serves to show us how much we don't know yet |
