Well.....everything is done EXCEPT for one lingering question........ I'm sure it's been asked before. Should I just wait till I get to Russia to look into theatre tickets or do I need to start looking now? I know here in the U.S. things book up pretty quickly and have to be done well in advance. Thanks guys!!

It's a mixed bag. If you absolutely must see a certain show, you should book in advance. Otherwise to save money you should buy there at the box office as far in advance as possible. Be careful if they realize you're a foreigner, you pay more.

If it's some REALLY popular show, then you should get tickets in advance. If not -- you can usually get it on the same day.

There's a good website that sells tickets to all kinds of events (in Moscow), it's in Russian, but if you have a friend in Moscow, you can ask them to book tickets for you. It's at http://bilet.afisha.ru
