I want to go to Russia with my children and stay there for 2 months. After extensive investigation on the Internet, I became very nervous about whether it is at all possible to get a visa. Did anyone was refused business visa to Russia? I am afraid that they will take my money and refuse to issue me a visa. What recourse do I have? How often does it happen? Does anyone have an experience with visa support agencies? Do Russians really accept these documents issued by them?

Most of the time they go through fine, as long as you use a reliable visa sponsor, follow your visa sponsor's instructions and submit all docs properly.

They will probably not refund your fee if you made a mistake on your side, but you should be able to have the chance to correct certain documents or provide additional ones. They will start processing your visa as soon as everything is in order.

If you live in america, Travel Document Systems worked great for me (http://www.traveldocs.com). I wouldn't advise trying to do the Visa application yourself, especially if its for the first time, simply because there's a lot of chance for error and they will not give you your money back.

Basically, you send everything to these guys though, and as long as you don't make mistakes, you should get your visa to Russia. The hardest part for me was getting an invitation letter, not the actual visa.

good luck,

If you are in the UK try Russiadirect.net the more notice you give the better the deal. Wherever you live I suggest using Google and search "Russian visa" and follow the links
