We should distuinguish better in this thread between the personal and the 'cultural' if we want to say what we miss. As far as the latter: I don't miss too much of it. Maybe some conveniences, like fast internet or ease of buying train tickets etc. But some of these depend so much on the place you visit. Or they can be provided for if you plan to stay away long enough..

But in other places (like Czech republic for example), decent food is hard to find. Here in New York, one can find any kind of food and that's what's so great about this city.
