Fire_Goddess: vitalsigns read many of my previous posts before you joined. I did not intend on being rude and, I think, was not rude in my responce to his question. I just said that there are too many reasons to list regarding the reasons why I came to the US. What's rude about that?
You should cut back of chat and go back to college. You said "you don't know where I've been", yet you did not say where you've ever been. I assume - nowhere. What do you do in life? How do you support yourself? What community college did you go to? |

| Fire_Goddess: So I was right about you. Not only you went into an average community college, but you did not even graduate. And at 24 you don't know what you're going to do with your life. Isn't a bit pathetic, seriously? If I were you, I would go to a real college/university, got credit for whatever I did in OCC, got a good professional degree (finance, computers, accounts, etc.) and got a real job (paralegal, marketing, finance, etc.) where you can have a normal career, travel the world and expand horizons. California has the best public university system in the US. Shame on you for not taking advantage of that. |

What are you even talking about? First of all I MAKE GOOD MONEY AT WHAT I DO. Orange Coast College is one of the best Jr colleges in California. I dont think its wise to keep paying for school when you arent sure what youde like to do, infact its totally insane. When I went there I wanted to be an interior designer, and then I realised that I was not that interested in the business. So why should I continue to take classes there? Your idea of what a good career is, is very limited. Its nice to see how close minded you are to the vast amount of careers available in the world. I am not interested in computers, I am not interested in accounting, or finance. So what if I am 24 and I am not sure about what id like to do. I am not ashamed of myself either. Most people measure success by their ability to support themselves and enjoy the finer things in life, which I do. But I would still love to do something else with my life. You claim that I spend so much time online, what about you? Are you some kind of a loser because you show up on this board? You lack imagination mrspice, which shows by the careers youve listed as acceptable and successful. I Do not consider you a successful person, because I see that you are not happy. |

The internet businesses are changing everything we know about education and so forth.
This day and age if you are smart enough to make money by promoting advertisers through Google or trading on ebay you can live a decent life making more samolians than a college degree engineer will make.
Take ebay, for instance. There's a couple on there husband and wife, who sell CDs that they buy from overstock warehouses. They sell, on everage 900 CDs a day for $5-10 each. So they make anywhere from $4500 - 9000 a day. They have a couple of people working for them. Try to beat that. I do not even want to talk about the guys who are dealing with old coins..... Millions of $. What is your education have to do with anything? |
