Carol Just Starting Joined: 15 Nov 2003 Posts: 1	Posted: Sat Nov 15, 2003 10:45 pm    Post subject: air travel w/vitamins I will be entering Russia at St Pete, then air to Krasnoyarsk for two weeks in March 2004 with a church missions team. I normally take 30+ vitamins/supplements per day for various conditions. Should I plan on managing without these, or is it possible I'll encounter no entry problems?

Guest	Posted: Wed Nov 19, 2003 7:44 am    Post subject: Carol, I go to St.Pete often, and I take a lot of meds with me, depending how long my stay will be. I have never had any problems in the past. The important thing you should know is to carry any perscribed meds in their original containers with the doctors name/and your name, address, and name of med on the containers. Also it would be good if you could possibly carry your vitimins in the original containers. I know this would be difficult, knowing how many you take a day, but it would lessen the chance of problems that could arise. I was advised to carry the perscription from the doctor with me, but since you can't read their writing anyway, the customs officials sure couldn't either. So I don't bother with that. What the officials look for is drugs carried in maybe sandwich baggies etc. I also have carried an enormus amount of meds being donated to the childrens hospital there in St.Pete, as well as, to a poly clinic there with no trouble, but I wouldn't suggest anyone to do that.
