Hello i have recently recieved my VISA to come to Russia this winter and i have a quick airport question. My flight lands in Paris France at 8:25AM and the plane to Moscow leaves Paris at 9:35am, Do you think i can make this flight?? Or should i switch the departing time to 1:00 to be safe? I dont like waiting for long periods of time but the only other choice is 3hour wait when i could be there 3 hours quicker. What should i do? Does anyone know the Paris Ch. De Gaulle airport telephone number to contact?? Its a risky decision but i want some opionons, PLEASE RESPOND SOON I WANT TO PURCHASE THESE TICKETS TOMORROW!!
sorry for same topic in 2 different forum catorgories but i need answers ASAP! |

| I think that you would be better off having to wait 3 hours rather than missing a flight. |

If you change the planes of one air company, don't worry, they know well how long is enough.
I had half an hour between flights in Frankfurt, changed terminals there and was in time but my luggage came on the next plane and the company delivered it to my home. |

| My wife and I had a 45 minute layover in Amsterdam on our way to Moscow last winter. We nearly missed our connecting flight because our plane arrived in Amsterdam late. Also, one of our bags didn't make it to Moscow on our flight. We had to get it a couple days later. Give yourself a bit of a cushion. |

| swp4lfe: You are likely to miss that flight. Paris' Charles De Gaulle airport is terrible. Unless both fligths arrive/depart from the same terminal building, it takes a very long time to get from terminal to terminal and you have to go through passport control in most cases. I had a 2-hour window between my flight when I was going to russia and could not make it on time, so I spent one day in Paris and went to St Petersburg a day later. Unless you are very lucky, you won't make it in 1 hour. In Amsterdam - maybe, because the Amsterdam airport is one huge terminal, but not in Paris. |

Didn't want to start a new thread for my question. This one will do.
I am planning to fly to St. Pete soon. Do not want to pay extra for my taxi ride from Pulkovo Int'l airport to Rybatskoe. If you are from St.Pete, how much does it cost on everage to get from Pulkovo to Rybatskoe by taxi? |

vitalsigns: Since you speak russian, you should be able to find someone willing to drive you there cheaper than taxi ("chastnik"). In any case, your ability to speak as russian would help you negotiate a cheaper rate with a taxi driver as well. I would guess it will take around $20
I paid 500 rubles + 100 rubles tip to get from Nevski to Airport in June. |

Spasibo Mr. Spice, I guess it didn't change much from 3 years ago then. I was in St. Pete in 2002 and paid 500 rubles to a private driver.
That's cool.

| I don't know when I am going to go there again. But if I go, I will do it next summer (when it's warm). It's a long and expensive trip, so I am not sure yet whether I will do that or not. But I would love to go to Piter in July. |
