Timothy Leary was one of my favorite stoners. Smile

Timmy probably did more to promote recreational psychedelic "research," while putting an end to professional research than anyone else.

Gotta love his cannibas stamp appeal to the US Supreme Court though!
Too bad Nixon came along. Sad

I'm more a Ram Das fan myself! Wink

I would like to repsond to the question that is the reason for this thread: I think Thani women make best wives. I heard they are very nice. They never scream at their husbands. They cook well and they are very sexy.

New York Times just published a report that 51% of American women live alone, and many are proud of it. That can happen only in America. Next thing you know, some of these women will grow penises and grow body hair - like Yorbcbud.

Spice, there are shrooms to be picked here....or at least where I live.
The folks that go regularly develop "an eye" for them.....and I'm not talking about the "magic" ones (I'll walk right past them because they blend in with the scenery).
Merrells (?), Morrells (?), or something like that.
At any rate, I'd like to go "shroomin" in Russia.....and with enough luck, and longevity, I'll do it.

Geez, we pick them right on the highway medians in downtown Vancouver. They grow everywhere down there. I assume you are talking about Phsyllocibin ?

You reckon?

What is the growing season?
Perhaps I should travel to the great white north...eh?

Same as most mushrooms, it's in the fall. We also have all the other types. I used to go in the fall picking pine mushrooms. At one time for a white plastic shopping bag full, we used to get 150 dollars. I don't like morells much, but I like Shaggy Manes every so often, fried in butter.

Hunter Thompson is the creator of what's known as "Gonzo Journalism"
He wrote " Fear and loathing in Las Vegas " He tried every drug known to man, and I think a few new ones as well. I believe he committed suicide in July 2005. Shot himself in the head. He was well known for his association with the Hell Angels.

But, perhaps there are at least 51% who don't go shroomin?

Glad I'm not one of his followers! Laughing
Bad enough to be one who worships a guitar playing acid freak who died from too many chili dogs, strawberry shakes & heroine. Arrow

Thompson never really had any followers. He became so unstable towards the end, that nobody could handle being around him, and he had a thing for guns. I play guitar, but I'm too old for acid. Pot is about as bad as I get. I like sitting in my boat on the lake, smokin big fatties, listening to tunes and throwing a line in the water. I tried heroin once. It was disgusting. I'll never try that again. Strawberry shakes? mmmmmmm, good stuff.

yes, American women live to tell you something, especially if it's different from what they strongly believe in. That's why so many of them sit at home screaming at the window - because no one wants to hear the endless arguments... Smile

Way over acid here!
Seemed to work for Jerry & the boys though!
Not opposed to getting psylly though....4 times a year.
Spiritual things are what Timothy seemed to miss......or, was not represented in his lectures.
There was a theraputic model in design.......now the therapists can't (legally) use psychedelics, yet the kids on the street can use them without proper set/setting/support.
Pity.
I play guitar, and just recently started building them.
Not one thing wrong with weed, provided the motivation doesn't stall.
I've got friends who smoke before work is done......big mistake for me!
I'm worthless after the fact, and really only go there on occasions
Guess I'm a light weight......more of a social smoker....unless I drink tequila...then I'm a chain toker!

Well all my research on pot is very professional, except for the roach burns on my car seat. I leave those to other professionals. Building guitars is too cool. You build acoustics? I built an electric once. Kinda like a Strat, but it was a miserable failure until I got drunk. Then it sounded great.
I usually smoke pot in the winter, but this year I haven't. In fact I don't use anything, not even alcohol. I live in a really nice place, and I don't feel a need to get high much, but every so often a friend will come over and light one up, and it's rather enjoyable in it's infrequency.
In Canada the legalization issue is creeping its way back into the spotlight. I don't care about pot being legalized, it's virtually everywhere anyway. I think the biggest laugh of the past half decade has got to be Georgie's " War on drugs" Like George Carlin said "They tell you to say No to drugs, but if you say No to drugs, you're talking to drugs, which means you have bigger problems than drugs" Very Happy
