I know it's not cheap. I paid full retail prices for all three levels from Barns & Noble, but later on I found these discount prices. So you may want to check them out.

I also have been using the Pimsleur 1 2 and 3. It is very helpful but you must be motivated. They seemed to spend a lot of time in the first lessons on numbers and time which can be a bit irritating when all you are wanting is to speak the language. But if you can suffer through this part it is well worth it. I dont know if it is the best program because some of the pronunciation is not given as slowly and clear as I would have prefered; but words are continuously repeated and it seems to become easier as you go along. I just returned from Russia for the first time and was able to speak and communicate on a very basic level after finishing the first two programs which actually was a lot of work. About 30 hours of lessons. I could actually provide this company with some third party suggestions about how to improve their program, but all in all it was well worth it although it is expensive. I actually use the audio chips and book player which is very nice because you can take it anywhere and it is very small... Any questions please send a private message I will be glad to answer!!!!! I think Pimsleur is the best. I have a few other books to help with my reading. If you shop around on the net you can get it pretty cheap. I think I got pimsleur one for 140 bucks. Someplaces sell it for 300 or so. Anyway, I should have that link bookmarked. If I do I will post it for you. Dave
