anoki - even though Jo jo cannot spell the word "naive", she means well. You are just as clueless as horses in Kentucky. I don't know where you got so many misconceptions about the US, and wrong information about Russia and Europe. When it comes to sex, Europe is much more free, in general, than the US. In Germany, you can buy porn magazines in supermarkets.
In the US, we have a lot of religious kooks in the South that are freaked out by the nakedness and sex. They prey all day and then picket abortion clinics. But fortunately, it's a small minority of nutty people. |

This is my impression, I could be wrong. There are all types of people in US, but the ones I meet- age 20-35 give me this impression. You seem to consume love too fast, not giving it time to grow and mature, if interested in love at all. Sorry to offend you. I admire Americans for other qualities. |
anoki - I can assure you that in Russia women and men expect sex much earlier and quicker than in the US. Both Moscow and St Petersburg are also full of strip clubs, massage salons and call girls willing to provide "full" service at a good price and they are basilly legal. |
true spice...anoki is very naive to russian men...and to all men. We are all the same for the most part. |

I did not say "all people in the south", I am talking about some people. Most religios nuts (aka "socially conservative republicans") are from the south from the so-called "bible belt" that includes South Carolina, Georgia and some other states. I did not say you were clueless. I said that anoki is as clueless as a Kentucky horse. Tell me honestly, jo jo, are you a horse? If not, I am not sure why you think it was said about you. |

I can't help but find this whole thread a little odd... it is pretty silly to say that one country's men are better boyfriends/lovers/husbands, and why etc, since everyone is different and as much as we think we are in a rather liberal world and era, much of this happens in private lives; behind closed doors. We can never know the full story.
I guess when we start comparing people by their nationality--we really should try to understand and appreciate the cultures and backgrounds they come from, and why they may have picked up certain traits or habits from their environment, rather than just make labels and statements about them. I think an appreciation of someone else's country and culture is about all one can attempt in forming an opinion about a person short of getting prejudiced against him/her...
Sorry... are my sentences too long and confusing? Time to sleep I guess. |

| What Media says is right...and let's face it the person we are with is always the best lover...or we wouldn't be with them. And if they are not the best lover then we shouldn't be with them. Who's a good lover to one may not be a good lover to another. Takes that certain chemistry. Get a group of men together and I don't care what country we are from...we all have usually one thing in common-we all like beautifull women and we don't care where they are from. Take us individually and we might have our preferences...but men's thinking is fundementally the same every where. As is women...at least from what I know. I have met American women who love thier Russian men, and I have met Russian women who love thier American men. It's all a matter of whet we want, and also of who we meet...some times it just happens, we don't go looking or chosing...just things work out in the ways they do. |

Oops, maybe I really should return to my studybooks instead of posting idiotic replays... - But you have posted so much that I'll ever have time to read 'em through with patience and deep concentration..Sorry! well, I didn't mean to say that other thing that you've posted would have been irrelevant... I was going to say something of my own about how men are, but then decided that you and Surfguy had already put it in the best way. |

| well...what actually is good about our posts I guess is the fact that media is a women, and I of course being a man...but also she is from Singapore and I from the US. So different sexes and different cultures. Life is amazing and the diversity that we are afforded keeps it very interesting and stimulating. I find this very attractive in the opposite sex, and very interesting socially. But too I find American women and people to be great and fascinating too. Like Europe and Russia...here in the US we have so many different types of people and races, nationalities, etc. We are very diverse. |

America has been multicultural from the beginning. If you review our short history, the three initial colonial areas were settled by different demographics and grew along a different path.
Briefly, the northeast, which now has an empty church on every corner, the commercial midatlantic which populated the midwest, and the south, initially settled by the disenfranchised younger children of British nobility, supplimented by slaves, and the Scotch-Irish.
Through a policy of "Manifest Destiny" the US acquired the Texican southwest, the far west Californian and Oregonian cultures, and the west, the breadbasket of the world, strongly infused by central European immigrants from 1850 to 1920.
America is multicultural. We have red states and blue states, cities, "burbs", and the middle of nowhere. I was born in the west, educated in the midwest and southwest, lived on the west coast, east coast, and settled in the deep south.
My culture, my community, my family, myself and God strongly disagree with Surfguy's generalization.
