OK can anyone advise me on this? Homestays in Moscow and St Petes as woman on own? Are there any safety issues apart from the normal ones? I really want to do this unless anyone thinks its a bad idea? (1st trip to Russia - throwing myself in to it!!) Thanks Ezmee x

I haven't read any negative stories about people using a homestay program. These are most often honest families trying to supplement their income, and meet some interesting people in the process. If you utilize the service of a reputable company, I don't think you will have a problem. Good luck, and have fun!
