I will be travelling to Yaroslavl in August to do some volunteer work for a week or so...but will be staying in Moscow for 2 days prior to leaving for Yaroslavl. What should I post on my visa applcation as the place I'll be staying?

Also, what would you recommend as a form or travel to Moscow Centre at 21:00 on a Thursday night and return to SVO2 on a Saturday morning.

Thanks

Put Moscow and Yaroslav for the places visited and give hotel (or other accomodation) information if you have it. You don't have to have every night accounted for when you apply for the visa, so if you are not sure yet, don't sweat it.

Arrange for car transfers (in advance) to get to and from SVO. You can do this on the WTR site, and I have used them on at least one of my trips. At the hour of your arrival, you can't rely on the public transportation and you'll pay twice as much for a cab if you have to get one on the spot.
