Mexican illigal immigration is a different problem. People poor over the border because there's a huge demand for cheap labor in agriculture, construction and other industries here. The unemployment ratre in the US is almost at a 20-year low - just 4.7%. So these people fill the need for low-skilled workers. The US companies and residents benefit from this. And you cannot expect people that make below minimum wage to completely integrate in a society where the average household income is 48,000/year. Just like people live in the mansions in Beverly Hills will enver socialize and mix with those living in small townhouses.

And contrary to the popular belief, those mexican immigrants intergrate quite well into the US society. All the statistics available points to the fact that their integration and assimilation rates (ability to speak English, etc.) is no worse than those of Italian or German immigrants that came to the US in the beginning of the 20th century.

I thought the subject was anti-semitism?

Yes, there is Anti-Semitism in Russia. How do I know? I am Jewish and I am originally from Moscow. However, it is not as prevalent as it was before, in the 50's through late 80's. You couldn't get into a good university or get a good job/apartment if you were Jewish (that was always in your passport, still is) Nowadays, you can see some skinheads here in there, especially in the rural area (they probably have never seen a Jewish person in theri lives), doing drugs, etc. Lots of people, even educated ones, think that Jews are greedy, or that they "sold Russia". However, there are a lot of good people, and it is really hard to generalize a country of 100 million people.

To all those wondering about Mexican ILLEGAL immigration. Here's a good question: how would you like if you were standing in line for food for many hours, and were losing hope and patience to get them. Suddenly, you would see a person get in the very front of the line, and buy food without any wait. Well, thats how people in the US feel about illegals. How would you like paying tons of money to obtain documents, go through all these hassles to get green card, wait for up to 10 years to get a citizenship, just to have someone get it all without any hassle? Most people who oppose illegal immigration are the LEGAL immigrants who know what it is like to get legalized playing by the rules.
