Hi everyone. I'm going to study Russian in SP in september and want to take a laptop with me. I've noticed these new Tablet style laptops where you can write on the screen using a special pen. I think this could be really useful to help me practice writing in russian with the bonus of still having a keyboard to type also. Does anyone have one of these and know if it recognises writing in Russian?

as an IT guy, i just use an ordanary laptop.
i would do writing just the old fashioned way, on paper.
and for typing search for an russian keyboard on ebay etc or buy stickers. I use a thinkpad and therefor you can cheap (about 30$) buy a replacement russian/english keyboard. probably a lot of computer firms offer this.
also there are many usefull links on the web
www.translate.ru
www.mail.ru (for receiving russian email which isn't garbled by eudora or ...)
