Well, thanks for all the replies, helped me a lot 
Oh jo jo, I just got confused from the staring, but I did not feel they were bad or agressive ones, neither racist. But it was really something! 
By the way, I guess you were under the impression that I was a girl (as you said "most brazilian women are beautiful, maybe that is why you were being stared at"), but I'm a guy 
Talking about beauty, the girls over there are truly amazing!

I believe Russian don't have any negative bias towards people from South America. People associate Rio with great beaches, beautiful women and wealth. Very few people from Latin America ever visit Russia. I think a typical russian does not really know much about this region except that Brasil is a place where great Carnival happens and there's Amazon river and the jungle. It's way too far away. And since Brasil is not normally in the news and does not "cross" russian policies in any way (unlike USA), not too many people know or care about Brasil, I bet.
Also, football (soccer) is bvery popular in Russia and Brasil is known for great soccer players. So in that sense I am sure Russians probably have positive bias towards Brasilians. |
I am a soccer lovin woman......we have lots of soccer fields where I live.....people love soccer here...I much rather see soccer over football.....sorry to go off the topic... |

You would be so depressed...I just think soccer is more exciting than football..I love the brazilian soccer team....I could watch it all day if I didn't have to work or clean house... |

I have to say my passion is jumping horses, (equestrian sports). I have been riding horses since I was three....I was in 3 day events and trained for the olympics....that's why I had so many German friends because we were all in training for the olympic riding events... |

sorry guys this is a bit off topic, but its important to me! ok 2 questions:
1) i've got this russian guy in one of my classes, and i constantly see him looking at me and when i look back he quickly turns away! it's like he wants to say something to me, but he doesn't. do russian guys think that girls should talk to them first or what?
2) what do russian guys think about girls who dress up like hmmm i'd have to use the term 'cheap whore' im talking about weird 'gothic' type girls who wear short skirts, fishnets and combat boots. ( and NO, im not the one dressing this way!)
any help would be appreciated!!! thanks! |

Hockey is great...I'm a big fan of the UFC, I like to watch soccer and to play it. But when the waves are up-all else doesn't even come close...I'll be on it at dawn tomorrow. !0ft plus and throwing! I grew up around horses and my sister has like 20. Niece is all about the shows. |
