Thanks a lot !!!

However, to be sure to the point of paranoia, fill out 2 customs declarations (going through the red channel) note the laptop serial # on the declarations, get both stamped and retain one (stamped) declaration. Then you can prove you brought it into Russia and so its "yours". This action would help if the laptop got nicked as you could prove you brought it into the country when claiming on your insurance policy and when getting a police report on the theft in russia. Otherwise, if you're happy go lucky then just sail through the green channel. I have taken laptops in and out over the years and never put any of them on my declaration. Les
