Mr. B,
Why are you here? I hope this is not an existential question? And what's up with your photo, Johnny Cash rides the Carousel! |

I'm interested in everything Russian. My wife and I adopted a little boy from the Bryansk region in January. We were in Moscow for 3 weeks seeing alot of sites and eating our dinners in the homes of Russians we befriended. We have a Russian friend who attends college in our town and lives with my in-laws during the holidays because they close down the dorms. His mother spent a week with us when we were in Moscow. She is coming to watch her son graduate in 2 weeks. We can't wait to see her again. We had a lot of fun together in that week even if she spoke no English and we speak little Russian. We got along just fine with our little translation book. And we also have Roseeta Stone language software which is great. And I learned some "colorful" language on this site and got to use one (mudak) to the shock of our friend's mother. So, I guess that's why I'm here.
My avatar is me at a Bock beer festival a couple years ago.
Oh, and I agree with everything you say(affirmo1314). |

Mr B.
We have alot in common especially in the sense that we both developed a love, interest and respect for Russia and Russian culture through adopting a Russian child. While many people who adopt internationally have little interest in staying connected to the child's country of origin, you and I obviousaly do not feel this way. In my case it happens to be me, much more so than my husband who feels strongly about staying connected, although my husband is a good sport and goes along with most things, including our upcoming trip to St. Petersburg and Estonia in June. At first he wasn't too keen on going, but he knows how much it means to me for all of us to have a connection with Alex's mother country.
Does your wife share this interest in Russia?
Oh, I share your interest in beer too. Good beer that is. Esopecially on a hot summer day! |

| Our son's name is Alexander also.Yes my wife is quite interested in Russian culture , but with a 1 year old in the house she's too busy to pursue anything Russian besides Alex.We plan on going back in about 10 years when Alex can get more out of it. |
