He'll fit right in. Most russians can. |

I visited Seattle a few years back. It is located in one of the most beautiful regions in the country - surrounded by mountains, gorgeous forests, parks, etc. The climate is moderate - it's rarely really cold. However, it rains 9 months of the year which makes many people kind of sad (I heard many Microsoft employees get depressed because of the rain). Vancouver is 2-3 hours drive away and British Columbia is quite beautiful. Seattle itself is kind of a small town (from European perspective - not too many places to hang out). Lots of traffic around Seattle - another American problem. |

| Seattle is one of the rare places in the US where you can find taste decent coffee...and the harbour market is a wonder for your senses. |

Media,
You will do fine in the USA! What state are you moving to?
The only issue that you and your husband might have is; if you are moving somewhere "country", you might have a hard time adjusting from the fast pace of Moskva. |

You got that right. American coffee can be really nasty. Starbucks is the best but the Kona blends from Hawaii are good as well. |

There are many coffee shops in New York. However, Starbucks really conquered this city. It seems like it's on every corner. I have 3 Starbucks next to my work. |

| That's still cool though. I didn't realize Microsoft had a Moscow office. So will you guys be permanently relocating to the USA or move back after a year? |

I don't know... its MS that headhunted him; they have all the answers, but in an answer to your question--they have an office of sorts in Moscow. Probably a recruiting office or something.
I am just about to quit coffee... but I love coffe houses and cafes, sitting and staring out into the rain... pretty much like home but much cooler |
