I'd like a tourist visa (and visa support letter) that lasts for something like 45 days, because I don't want to have problems if I'm delayed while trying to leave Russia on the 30th day. Can someone help me here? Also, I admit that I'm not on business, and I'm not crazy about spending $90 for a business visa Alan

45 days is only possible with a business visa. The prices for visas are set by the Russian consulate in your country, so, unfortunately, it's not possible to get it cheaper... If you want to save money on an invitation, I advise you to take a single-entry 3-month visa support for $75 US.
