Hello! i really need some advise, i have my letter invitation ready and i will send my papers to the embasy, I am applying for a one year business visa. In this website there is a section that explain what a business visa is for
........ This type of visa is supposed to be issued for the people, who come to Russia for business purposes. But because this type of visa allows long stays, multiple entries etc., it is also used by ordinary travelers, who need more flexibility.
if you're coming to Russia for travel and want to get a business visa only because you would like to stay longer and to be able to enter or leave multiple times, you can apply for a business invitation through a travel agency.........

So, like i said, i received my letter invitation from IntelService, which is a travel agency, right? Now, i am a little paranoid about what the embassy in my country will ask me, if they ask for an interview with me, because i am going to stay in Russia for about a year.....what can i say? or what i am supposed to say to them, That i am going for business purposes????? do they issue business visas to people that only wish to travel? I am totally confused.
I wrote on the visa form that my purpose of visit to Russia is business but i am not going to do business.

help please.

Email IntelService and ask them what you should say in case of an interview. They have probably created a story for you. If you're applying in an English-speaking country then the chances of having an interview are minimal.

You could just say that you are researching for your book or looking into business opportunities in Russia.
