Hello folks,

For newly arrived expats in Moscow who are planning to be in Russia over the X-mas, New Year period would you have recommendations on what to see and do during the period? Has anyone traveled to Sochi during Dec? Is it interesting for a 4 days trip to get away from Moscow? Kamchatka and Lake Baikal seem to more suitable for a summer getaway from what I have read.

I am searching for some options for the holiday period as an alternative to watching tv!

Thanks,

Avoid carrying animals and pack unnecessary things that have multiple uses. Observe the climatic conditions where you will visit, and reload the package accordingly. Traveling during the summer requires careful preparation. Carry an umbrella, sunglasses and comfortable cotton clothing. Your skin may be exposed to the sun's rays scorching cabin so that its outer skin with a sunscreen as adding to the end of travel.

I heard from my friend that skiing on Elbrus is great. Mainly because it has good snow and because there are no lines and no crowds.
