I want to travel back to Moscow but I have a Soviet citizenship and the last stamp I got was a USSR stamp. How do I update or transfer my Soviet passport to a Russian one?

You need to contact your local Russian Consulate to get a valid answer for such important question; everything you find on this site is very subjective.

I think Carl is absolutely correct, and I don't imagine getting your passport situation squared away will be much of a big deal at all. Of course that is my imagination speaking, which is mostly fiction at best. Shocked
