The only dance club I've been to while in Moscow was Propaganda. Early in the evening, it was operating as a quite, modest cafe serving coffee. Then as the hours rolled onward and the crowds poured in the place, all of the tables and chairs were removed on the main floor by the staff. Eventually, the entire club was totally mobbed and hopping up and down to droning sounds of techno. It was probably a Friday night, if I hazily remember. All of my Aussie companions, including myself - became separated and lost from each other until the next morning. Total fiasco.

I'm sure the others will pipe in and advise somewhere better to shake yo' thing in Maskva . . . depending on the kind of music you like.
Just my measly two kopecks.

If you like techno, then you should have some good times dancing the night away - if it's still the same there. That was over a year ago, and during the night there was no Rap being played. The music became consistently techno later into the evening - and the joint also became totally packed shoulder-to-shoulder with patrons. Cool

I like it when a place is packed with people..I should see if it is still there when visit Moscow....I have to make some new friends to dance with....Kentucky has some really fun clubs to dance in...so if you are ever in Kentucky go to Pheonix Hill Tavern...it has 3 floors and it is a cool place....it plays different music on every floor or corner...nice.... The club should still be there and you'll find loads of friends, if not there - then plenty of other places.

When I visit my Dad in Nashville, TN . . . I'll stop by the Phoenix Tavern along the way and spend some time induldging in some wild Louisville night-life. Have to check it out.

It is on Bardtown and Baxter Avenue...Don't forget to go up on the third floor to the roof garden....it is hugh...the roof is domed and has a huge screen that opens up and you see the sky and stars...there are lots of cool places to sit and plant life everywhere...hugh stage and lots of bands that play and a big hugh bar.....but you have to go to every floor to appreciate it... As you can imagine, Moscow has 10 million residens, most russian millionaires and more "new russians", so there are lots of clubs and discos there.

Be careful that you have the *right look* or the door goons ain't letting you in.

For girls this usually means high heels, very skimpy tops, and very low very tight pants. Dolce and Gabbanna rhinestone belt and bag are optional.
