You know what, this is proof that two people can speak the same language and still not communicate cause you totally misunderstood.

I'm pretty sure getting older and not chewing gum won't give me an automatic understanding of a completely alien language, Vorteks.

No,Jesus was black, don't you know.

Apropo the draft, I have the world's funniest draft horror story. My father knew a man who had served with an Australian in the Polish army in the 1970's.How did he get there? He was born in Poland, emigrated to Australia as a young child and then decided to go back to visit Grandma. To his misfortune, he decided to this when he was 19. Very Happy The police were waiting for him outside Grandma's door and do you think they cared he was an Australian citizen?Haha, nooooo, they ripped up his passport, dumped his luggage and drove him to the nearest recruiting station in handcuffs. As if things weren't bad enough, the poor thing didn't know Polish. It was months before he found someone at the training base who spoke English and who finally explained to him what the hell was going on.He must have been terrified.

So if you are a under 30, over 19 male citizen of a Communist country with a standing army and a no bs draft policy, please for the love of God, STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN!!!! Don't go there!

Vorteks,
You hit the nail on the head with referring to sweet little Polska as Daisy Duck. I love it and Polska honey, I think you gotta a new name here. Smile

Though for 17 yrs. old, I am not so sure how sweet and innocent you really are! You're a spitfire girl, I gotta give you credit for that. You have a long life ahead of you, so you might want to slow down just a tad!!!! Laughing

A few quick reactions...

How being black opposes to being american?
Is there any commy country left in the world, except Seychelles..and France may be Very Happy

Cyndy, Betty Boop would have been even more suitable, if her constant references to religion didnt made me think she wants to be a nun Very Happy

Vorteks Honey,
Believe you and me , our little Polska has no intentions of joining a nunnery. Though I do suspect that given the fact tht she is 2nd generation Polish, our little darling's daring escapades certainly must either give her family a nervous breakdown or they are oblivious to teenagers in US especially NYC.

Daisy Duck, you are endearing to me, don't get me wrong, but I just gotta question what a 17 year old is doing here?

I know I know, I am not your momma, but if I was honey I would..,.....

I threw back my head and laughed for about a minute straight after reading what you guys have to say about me. Cyndy, you would do what? Come on just say it, don't worry, I won't be offended.

Very Happy Allright, I guess I have to explain myself to you. Rolling Eyes

You gotta remember we are online. You guys don't know me, have never met me and are not either one of my best friends. What you know about me is what I tell you and vice versa.Everyone is a totally different versions of themselves online than in real life: look at your friends' blogs for proof.Wait, you know what, you are too trusting, how do you even know I'm a female,New York Polonia high school student? Are you really going to take my word for it? Smile

Believe me, in real life, I am such a sweetheart and Nice Girl. And completely charming.

As you might have guessed my philosophy is live life to the fullest. You got limited time.So I'm a gonna water ski, learn salsa, travel the world, buy a car and do all the crazy things they always told me not to do, or rather all the crazy things that I haven't already done:) .

You should talk to my Mother, she needs someone to complain about me to. And what exactly does being 2nd generation Polish have to do with it?I thought I mentioned it too much but Cynd, you've used it against me about three time already. Razz

Okay, let me be a US teenager for a second and say "Nooo DUUUUH".No one understands my sense of humor. Crying or Very sad Isn't there anyone else out there who finds it funny when someone says something perfectly obvious/gives totally unneccessary advice?Though you did forget North Korea. Razz

And another thing, theology is one of my big interests.I'd join any convent where you can date, drink and smoke Smile .Seriously, didn't anyone here except me go to Sunday school?!

Honey, Daisy Duck,
You might think you are so cute and charming because you are 17. But I gotta tell ya, you are already way too cynical and sexually experienced for your sweet age! I am sorry if I burst your little teeny bopper bubble, but that is exactly what I would do if I were YOUR MAMA HONEY!

"She was just 17 and you know what I mean....
blah blah bhah, and she knew how to give you know what....,.aka BJ's,

I could have danced with another.. Ohhhhhhh....,.
but I saw him or her standing there. ie. don't ya want to try everything??? Smile

I've decided to try out religion. Nothing else has worked for me, so I figure what the hell....CUBA this summer!!! Is that not crazy?? I'm so excited!! Drinking age 17!!! Hot Guys!!!! Thats actually what I'm excited about more. And the salsa clubs, the gorgeous architecture, the cool cars, and being away from my parents for a month with little to no communication! Although I found out that there are a handful of internet cafes, but they cost something like five dollars an hour. Damn! But I might do that a couple times while I'm there, just to tell people I'm alive and not in jail...7 years for graffitti! wow...well, I'm kinda out of things to talk about...

Daisy,
I'm 48 and my birthday is coming up April 22nd! Yeah I'm sure I am ancient to you. But believe me I am still a spring chicken honey. My husband is 8 years younger than me, though 40 probably sounds way too old to you as well.

Actually my dear I enjoy you immensely on WTR. I'm glad you're here. It's just that at 17, and this is based on my own experience, it's not Gospel, but-
youseem to be livin in the fast lane! I have been there and done that. But now when I think back about some of my escapades at your age, I think I was insane. Well maybe insanity goes hand in hand with teenagers!!!

Also the only reason I commented that you are 2nd generation Polish was that I'm just a little surprised that your parents seem to give you so much freedom. I have quite a few Polish friends and actually they are immigrants. Maybe I,m wrong but they are quite discriminating about what they allow their kids to do or hang out with etc. Maybe I live in the dark ages. Hey I'm over 40. What do I know???

You know what the secret is? Good grades.Report cards are your passport to freedom; your parents trust you and believe you when you say you are staying afterschool for Social Action Club.Just a s long as you don't go to "Social Action Club" too often.I have to pass that advice on to your son.

I admit there is alot of truth to that. And yet it is quite deceptive isn't it!
