It is your opinion. Better ask to Europeans their opinion

* to the Danes after the Muhammad caricatures
* to the french after the riots last year

So all of sudden I am not European? That's most certianly new information. Theo Van Gogh was strongly controversial figure. But, is it really necessary to support Pim Fortuyn? What happened with Muhammad caricatures, that riots started after long peaceful asks to the newspaper to apologise.
|
May be you are European, so you represent the 300 millions Europeans ?
You have an opinion, it doesn't mean all Europeans think like you do.
Theo Van Gogh was a controversioal figure, yes and what ? Is it necessary to cut his throat ? What you call controversial figure I call it freedom of expression.
About Muhammad caricatures, the same, it is freedom of expression because we are leaving in a free continent, anyone has the right to express his opinion freely and any newspaper can do caricatures of anyone, Muhammad included. Countries you don't find caracatures has a definition : DICTATURE.
THe Danish newspaper didn't have to express any apologises.

There has been lot of talk how secular state has made the abortion available, just to mention, that maybe it wasn't so available in Ceaucescu's time. What comes to Franco, I suppose that country that had strong ties to catholic church, was somewhat "family matters" focused.
|
Spain is now one of the most free country on the planet, I remind you that abortion is legal there, like homosexual mariage as well.
This was possible only because there is separation between Religion and state.

If your mother left Spain during Franco's regime you should well understand to what I am referring when I am saying that European countries have always been multi-national and multi-lingual. Just see how nice was language politic done till 1975, and then look at the current situation... certain realtion between the past and present, perhaps? |
Yes I understand, of course I understand. What I don't understand is those new immigrants who behave like colonizers. France has known a lot of immigration waves : polish, russian, italian, spanish, portuguese, vietnames, chinese but all those immigrants never demands anything to the native French people. They never contested the French history (Vietnamese could have done it, but they didn't), they never demanded the french state to pay for religious buildings, they never hooted the National anthem, they never asked the French to apologise for Crusades (which took place 500 years ago), they never demanded to separate women and men in public areas, they never demanded to have special treatment in hospital according the sex of the doctor and/or the patient etc etc...
As for me, I will vote for the guy who will have the courage to stop this, the guy who will apply the laws of the french republic.
That is my opinion. |

mister_wizz, if you want to vote for far right then go for it! Perhaps Jean-Marie Le Pen will gather one vote from you? Anyway you seem to have soulmates here.
Personally I don't find voting far right will ever solve any problems, it will just create more fighting and awake annoyed reactions. But I seem to be alone with my conceptions here.
I am also aware of laws in Spain at the moment. Whatever, I was not originally posting to you, so please, whatever you didn't like in my original post it wasn't written to build up WW3.
Funny thou, how people who seem to have something equal in their relationship to certain country may come up with so different solutions... |

| Staying true to your beliefs is far more respectable than wearing two different smiles. People should respect others because they are true to thier beliefs and not just because of or for thier beliefs. Respecting leads to accepting. France was never set up to be or intended to be a Muslim society. Certainly Muslims can live there and do. But is French and should remain so. |

This remark is not acceptable. Because I want the laws in my own country to be respected you will probably call me a Nazi ? Please, don't be ridiculous !
You reminded me this guy who call me a racist because I told I didn't like how Arabian language sounds

I agree, but voting for extreme left will not solve anything either.

So I guessed wrong, I am sorry for presuming you voting for far right. Thou I think it is better for me to be wrong than knowing that someone would truelly be for far right.
BTW, why did you take Dutch supporter of Pim Fortuyn as an example? I honestly didn't understand what you wanted to achieve with that.
What comes to Arabic, I don't think it is very polite to go around telling everyone how this and this language sounds bad to you, so not just Arabic, but when it comes to all languages in general. I don't remember calling you a racist.
But, would you mind telling how you would solve the demographic crisis in Russia?
I, to be honest, don't have any idea what so ever. |

jo jo: Now your typical responses are not even one liners. They are half-liners. I thought you will be finding good articles about Russia on the web and bring it to our attention so we can discuss. I saw about 10 postings that said something similar to "be good..." |

When there is not much to answer, I don't answer...I will give you as much as you post....we have been discussing articles from the web...give me a moment and I will find something to post and discuss with you...
Oh "be good" is when a few of you men are being "too fresh" in the post... Spicey do you understand what "fresh" means?...that is a slang term that is said alot in New York...such as "Stop that you are being too fresh".... I usually heard it from a really heavy Brooklyn accent... |

"Too fresh" is what an average Kentucky resident would say if the chicken at KFC was undercooked... I have lived for over 10 years in New York City and have never heard that term.
Anyway, what is the point of saying "be good" all the time? I think we are good - very good. |
