mev Frequent Guest Joined: 01 Apr 2004 Posts: 28	Posted: Wed Feb 07, 2007 4:46 pm    Post subject: New visa registration rules and bicycle travels in Russia Any thoughts on how the new visa registration rules may affect an extended travel through Russia where your address changes and is not known in advance? I have a trip planned in 2007 to bicycle from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok. I will spend a few weeks in St Petersburg, so am trying to see if the visa gets registered from your partner company that issued a business invitation or at the language school I will attend for a few weeks. After leaving St. Petersburg, plan is to spend the next five months bicycling. I will spend some nights in a hotel and some in a tent. There will be very few places I spend three days. I plan to try to register at hotels where I can. So I am trying to figure out how to best follow the new visa registration rules on such an extended tourist visit through Russia. Any suggestions? --mev, Mike Vermeulen
