Haven't received a single thing on Valentine's Day in 12 years (but I have given, of course).
My last gift was a cactus - it that could be considered weird.
At least the vase it came in certainly was. |

Hmm . . .
Weird and irrelevant postings, eh? . . .
My post qualifies no less 'weird' or 'irrelevant' than the original Topic created - or anyone else's contribution about this stupid issue . . .
'Nuff said . . . |

5_Zvehzda - I was actually referring to this topic, not your post. You misunderstood me. Your reply was relevant in response to the irrelevant topic/thread. |

The weirdest gift was entirely black cup for coffee. Damn, i can't see the colour of coffee in this cup! The coffee cup should be white inside or at least transparent.
The best gift was service at the dinner on 23 February. All womans in the office get dressed in military uniform of WWII, the tables was filled with rye bread, baked potato in marching kettles, stewed meat (i guess in american it will be SPAM), cold vodka in thick glass tumblers. And old songs. This was so stylish... |

That weirdest gift of yours is too funny. You are lucky that you didn't get a tie that lights up like some American men. I like the other though. Rye bread and potatoes, yummy. Stewed meat in America (southern states) is pot roast in a crock-pot and potatoes. |

A tie? I think it is too serious gift. It usually bought with classical suit. I like suits and ties, unfortunately good ones (for my taste) usually begin where my money end.
A tie that lights up? Really weird and useless gift.

Probably I mistaken with translation. "Stewed meat" literally mean "tushenoye myaso" ~ "tushenka" = canned meat. Good at the march, wildlife travel and at the battlefield. |
