| BTW if you do speak the Great Language, or have dictionary near, lol, then you will understand what my signature talks about. An important aspect of Soviet/now Russian life. |

Does the poll also apply to those of us who are still in the beginner/intermediate learning stage - and want to continue further? If so, my response is 'Yes'.

Want to share them jojo? You probably won't have to ask for forgiveness here
Years ago at university, a friend wanted to learn a couple of swear words in Russian, so I taught her some and she happily went about muttering them when she wanted to, with no one any the wiser.
A couple of weeks ago I was in Sydney and we caught up for a Sunday lunch after which she drove me to the airport. As we were going through Bondi a car cut her off and she yelled out "блядь", to which the equally irate female driver of the other car yelled back "сама блядь" |

Well, I don't think I would classify as a nice lady if I told you what I knew in Russan. I will keep it to myself. You can almost guess anyway, it was probably the words you taught your friend. I cannot spell it but, I can say it and I know what it means.... |

Haha, that's a good story, Nikir. My husband inadvertantly taught me some swear words early in our relationship. Once day he kicked his foot into something and shouted "suka blyad", so for the rest of the day like a parrot, I walked around going "suka blyad". He's given in now and taught me a lot of words, which we use joking around with each other. The problem with this is that I use them so often now, I have to make a concerted effort NOT to use them when we're around other Russian speakers. I'm always worried that we'll be at his parents house and I'll say something in jest, only to see a horrified look on his mother's face |

| Yes you do have to be a bit careful as my friend learned after 20 years. Still it was a priceless moment. The look on her face cracked me up so much I laughed for days. |

| suka blyad...I've said the same thing to a former interest...of course she just said that she had been called far worse...so I resorted back to worse english words. |
