| Perhaps the author made assumptions based on divorce rates and attitudes some women have about "Standing by their man". I for one would never tolerate such crap. |

I knew of one Russian woman who laughed off that a successful Russian guy she really liked, enjoyed having sex with lots of women.
I gathered also, she assumed that if she and the guy became partners, he will automatically cease his sexual exploits - ie. never cheat on her 
Basically, this woman seemed to admire, or at least accept, this man for being a sexual success with many women.

I think what happens in Russia is that the women outnumber men. As w discussed before, good-looking, successful men are a precious commodity in Russia. So women are much less reluctant to break up with men because they are more dependent on men for income than those in the developed countries. This is not the only reason, but it's probably the main reason the woman would "stand up for her man"
Fire_G. cannot understand that because in many places in the US, men are desparate to find a woman, even if she makes as little sense as Fire_G. |

Compared with Russia, they are. Here in the US, you can go to a bar and there will be a line of guys hoping to get one attractive girl in that bar. Obviously, I am not talking about fat chicks - those nobody wants
In Russia you can go to a bar and often see a totally different dynamic - many attractive, slim girls hoping to get attention of a handful of guys. |

It seems like there are quite a few women like that everywhere. A wife will twist herself into a pretzel to make her cheating husband not feel so bad about his disloyalty.
When I talk to Jojo (and we are talking about just a minor emotional cheating) Firey goes nuts on her side. |
