True. But I was talking about those anti-rocket bases the US is seting up around the world. Those currently installing in Poland and Cezh rep. Against Iran?! Who the hell are you kidding?! Obviously you are trying to trigger another Cold War with Russia. Jesus Christ, what, one wasn't enough for you? You want to destroy Russia's economy all over again?! You want Russian children to starve again like they did, because of you, in the early 90s?! Bastards! And that Berezovsky bitch! He deserves to eat some Polonium, just for funding the Chechens in the War! Yeah, everyone knows how he gave them millions of dollars! You think FSB wants to kill him? Hell, ask any veteran of the Chechen War: any one of them would break that asshole's neck with plaesure! One prostitute of Zakaev has already been taken out: Litvinenko. Watch out Borya! You just might be next! lol Sorry for such a long, and emotional post. I was just watching a documentary on how that suka Berezovsky helped those terrorists like Zakayev in that war. And how now these British hide both of them from justice! These two murderers of Russian children! Just for this, I think those British sailors had it coming to them! If "jolly old" had minded it's business, and stayed where it belonged: under the Queen's skirt, nothing would have happened. If they have just handed over Berezovsky and Zakayev without a word, heck, Russia has a lot of strings in Iran, it could have negotiated a way out for these British marines. But instead, they try to humiliate our Russian justice system by actually searching our detectives before they could question you-know-who! It was disgusting for me to watch! Truly! Britain has no respect for the parents of Beslan's children, for the relatives and friends of those that died in Nord-Ost and other Chechen war-crimes! It's revolting really! Who the fuck those British faggots think they are?!! |

BTW, Surfguy, this was aimed not at you as a person, but at the government of your country, and the governmant of Britain! I hope someday they realise that Chechns weren't any different from Al-queda, or Taliban, or Hamas, or Hesbollah, etc. I hope they then have understanding and respect for the great courage and sacrifice of those brave Russian soldiers that fought and gave their lives to protect their country, their people, and their families from filthy criminals such as Zakaev and his so called, unexistant, illegal, terrorist Republic of Ichkeria.
Also, an apology is in order for all mothers of dead Russian soldiiers, whose sons you, hyppocrites, have labelled as "war-criminals"! |

Have you got it all out of your system now Russkii?
It's good to let off steam and you certainly let some off , but it's falling in the wrong territory here.
I can understand your frustration and sense of despair over what is happening in your birth country and can empathise to some degree but really yelling and postulating in a forum predominantly catering to travellers isn"t going to achieve a whole lot for the people left behind in Russia. You will be better off emotianally and physically by providing material help to relatives over there than ranting about how unsatisfactory things are. In other words do something rather than just joining the the internet focused and for the most part uninformed brigade that has nothing better to do than waffle in this forum. The present and the future are the key. Not what has happened.

let's replace things in their right place :
UK and USA are real democraties which mean that even Bush cannot do anything he wants without American people approbation.
What about Russia ? It is an autocratie, a dictature in disguise. Do you think Putin will ask Russian people opinon about important decision he could take ? Come on ...
Everybody knows that in western Europe, Russia is still dangerous because Russia is still a dictature. You were talking about US missiles, it is obvious they are still turned in the same direction, but I can assure you that the British and french ones are still turned on the East direction in spite of strong tensions between USA and France those last years.
Let's talk about the differences between soldiers of wertern armies and the Russian one.
* One big difference : US, British, french are all professional, decently paid for their job, there is no corruption unlike in the Russian army. US, british and french soldiers don't need to steal, racket people in their operation field to survive.
* About war crimes, in any war there are some but the main difference between US, UK, France and Russia is that if some western soldiers commit some crimes on local people, they are judged and severely punished. What about Russia ? I ve never heard about russian soldiers being judged for war crimes, and I will say it is worse, in Chechnya Russians soldiers are even pushed to commit war crimes. |

Not true: there have been several trials recently on Russian soldiers who opened fire on civillians in Chechnya. Off course on one of the last ones, where they were judging a soldier who opened fire on a civillian bus, because he swears he saw an AK barrel pointing out of on of the windows,
the reason he was discharged guilty, to the despair of all the human rights groups who took part in his trial, is that this was one of the first ever 'jury trials" in Russia, and the guy was tried... by a jury of Soldier's Mothers! LOL Obviously they agreed on a "not guilty" verdict before the trial even started. Sorry, in russia, there is no "conflict of interest" rules in court. I guess that is a problem... |

I couldn't agree with you more...in fact what really is going on in the world is the same old struggle that has been going on between the USSR...now Russian Federation and the USA...whether it be Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya...etc...our two countries will support what ever group is against against the other side...Russia supports those against the USA...and the USA supports those against Russia. And it's a shame...but it keeps economies going I guess with the need for the sale of arms and technologies. Anyway Russia is a beautiful place with beautiful people and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for all of us |

Wow. Words of wisdom from the bottom feeding lawyer. He can say whatever he wants, this is a freedom of speech issue. If it wasn't, most of your idiotic comments could never appear on these pages. Keep your editorials to yourself. When you become knowledgeable in real world issues, then please feel free to offer your opinions. In the mean time, the man wants to vent, so shut up, and leave him to vent. |

Really? And why was my arguement "week...and well wrong"? Would you care to explain, how mr. wizz is smarter then I am? By the way, it's spelled "weak", not "week".
And if you think that I am wrong, that's fine, but know this: you are siding with murderers and their supporters! |

I agree with what you are saying over the chechnya situation and this is a cold war struggle for sure...it is tit for tat and Russia got all the WMD out of Iraq....is still supplying Iran who in turns gives the weapons to the insurgents, hezbollah etc who in return use them on us...which I can deal with that because most the equipment they get isn't worth a crap. But too the whole Israel deal about going in to Lebanon was to wipe out the Russian supplied weapons cache and the WMD that was moved to there...good thing too as the Israelis got a bunch of it. Let's face it if the Britts, the US...or the Israelis really wanted to...we could take Iran down or any other middle East country in an instant. But the world is based on economics so Russia keeps selling weapons for money, the US does, France does and we all trade oil and it's business as usual. Doesn't matter if it's Putin, Bush or anyone else...business will go on. It's amazing how both countries do the exact same thing to each other. As I've stated I side with Russia on Chechnya. And no I don't take things personal from anyone on this forum...we all have a right to our opinions and our lives are shaped in different ways....actually I take Jojo's comments personal though...she can be a bit...at times |

I am not smarter than you are, I read international press, that's all.
I read that responsibles of Abou Graib tortures have been condamned, I read that Soldier Cortez has been condamned to 10 years for the murder of an Iraqui family and the leader of this killing has not been judged yet but I bet he will spend his whole life in a cell.
In Russia, for such crime a soldier would be awarded instead of being jailed. |

Yes, US/ NATO anti-missiles can be targeted against Russian ICBMs just as easily as targeted against Iranian, North Korean or any other countries' missiles.
In the old days, perhaps anti-missile bases would be set up in Cuba as a response to the US/ NATO bases in Eastern European countries. But the old days are gone. |

| Did you know international agreements dictate what type of ammunition countries' military can use? Nuclear warhead on missile is ok but no 'dum-dum' bullets in rifles or pistols. Go figure. |
