My wife ( who is Russian) read somewhere recently that Russia will issue a new five year multi entry Visa for people married to or a close relative of Russian Citizens. !! Has any one else heard about this or have any more information?

never heard of that. but if your spouse is Russian, it's possible to get a residency permit (vid na zhitelstvo) with which you won't need a visa or work permit.

My Russian wife and I looked into temp residency. From what we understood is that I would need to have $8000 in an Russian bank account. Or that my wife would need a job that would have a high annual income. Higher then most Russians make.
