Is there any special train that allow this ? or is it possible in every trains ? Does it cost somthing more ? do the y charge for the bikes ? thanks for your quick answer!! best regards yves

mev Frequent Guest Joined: 01 Apr 2004 Posts: 28	Posted: Wed Apr 25, 2007 4:04 pm    Post subject: My understanding is bicycles that are taken apart, and wrapped (e.g. in plastic) and that fit in the luggage overhead are taken on the train. Last year we traveled ~400km on Russian train from Samara to Penza and took our bicycles. The train itself was going from Tashkent to Moscow and had a baggage car. We paid to put the bicycles in the baggage car. Not every train has a baggage car and so our other alternative would have been to take one train and have the bicycles on another. --mev, Mike Vermeulen p.s.
