There is sexual promiscuity everywhere around the world of course. But, since this is a Russian forum, why not discuss this topic concerning Russia?
To get the thread started:

There is a high number of individuals who suffer from impotence in Russia? Hmm...maybe there is causality or a correlation with the high rate of alcoholism. I'm sure being inebriated can have an effect on one's performance  |

that it does...being wnbriated...male or female makes for lame sex. But a little bit of alcohol can enhance the whole the experience  |

Yeah, who wants to have sex with someone who has cigarette breathe...peeeeeouy!!!
So, impotence can work in other ways besides the norm.... |

Yes a glass of good wine helps to take the edge off and Champagne sets the mood too...but beer...no it's not really good for love making...better to stick to foo foo drinks...well at least for her. And for him/her are doing shots before the act...well that's a red flag and should be considered a insult by the other person.
Smoking is yuck to begin with...but after a good session as the saying goes...it is kind of nice to light one up in appreciation of the good work out. Hey do you got a cigarrette? But smoking is bad and I certainly refrain from it...even after a toe curling experience  |

This is what I said
So until you curl my toes...we shall never know if the scenario calls for a cigarrete or not...if it does...means it was good...but doesn't necessarily mean we actually have to lite one up...just means the sex was worthy of a cigarette...a compliment
Hell apparently Monica smoked cigars...so what does that say about Bill?  |

This is what I said

This sounds harsh:

This (Russia) is a very open society when it comes to sex. The puritan forbidden mystery of it so prevalent in the US is nonexistent here. Promiscuity reigns. People start having sex early and indiscriminately. Furthermore, it extends across all social circles (edit: like anywhere right?). Sex between young teenagers is not limited to the inner-city youth. There is also a clear separation between sex and family. People marry young in Moscow, typically between the ages of 18 and 24. I imagine it’s even younger in the provinces. And then they start affairs. What is interesting is that the affairs are not too clandestine and there is never any feeling of remorse attached. Women cheat on their husbands quite a bit as well. The process is mechanical, devoid of any emotions and I suspect is mainly a way to deflate some of the boredom that surrounds. In all my years of working in the US, only once did I know of an office romance. Here it borders on ridiculous. In our organization, I have a feeling that all single people have gone through all possible boy-girl permutations. Since availability of apartments for these trysts is limited, they stay late and "do it" in the office. I am also aware of two married men who are cheating on their wives with girls who work in the office....."

| Ok the article is very interesting and it is almost 10 years old...so I wonder then how it compares to today's Russia and so can it be rewritten today in the same context? Is russia progressing from the depiction in the article. In societies where sex is the only form of gratification...then you have the promiscuity issues such as that in Russia. I'd like to hear what the expats of this forum have to say about life in Russia, and what the Russians who frequent here have to say about thier motherland now that they are living abroad. For me living here in the US and talking to all the Russians that I know...they all tell me how corrupt it is there...how hard it is. And how uncertain things are. Of course many of them living here have also noticed the harsh realitities of how expensive and complicated life can be in the US especially here in California where the price of a home in a good area is close to a million dollars now. And condos being half of that. Poverty level in San Diego for a family of four is $70,000.00 If you are not making that then you are living in poverty. Anyway the mentioned article I think is a bit old...especially since Russia has seen so much wealth since then. |
