| What are their impressions of Oriental women? I am asking because I would like to know if Russian men are racist about these issues. Do Russian men generally just want to settle down with a traditional Russian girl or would they also look to settle down with a girl from another culture? |

It's a weird question, Stellar. There are men that will settle down with a traditional Russian girl and there are men that will settle down with a girl from another culture in Russia. It's just like everywhere else. |

Yo Stellar, I'm Russian (and a guy), and like Asian girls more than Russian, they appear to be smarter these days... 
Either way, that's my preference, as for the rascist thing, there are, of course people like that in Russia too, however, they have 'IDIOT' written all over their face, you can spot them a mile away, so keep to the normal guys (like me lol) and you'll be fine...  |

BTW Stellar, in my opinion, your question isn't weird at all... because you see, there are always certain groups in societies (or, concerning my views, AGE groups) that will 'stick to what they know best' in a sense, as much as I hate to say it.
In Russia, this prevails mostly in the older generations, however, I think that there are a lot of middle-aged people in Russia that carry the 'international' ideals from Soviet-era Russia, where people of Asian appearance from places like Kazakhstan, Altay and Yakutia lived side-by-side with ethnic Russians.
There are also many young people such as university students, in my opinion, that are, like many young people our age, tend to embrace the 'global' stance, opening up to Asian culture and becoming interested in it.
There are rascists, but you can spot them instantly... so my advice to Asian girls is to just go for Russian guys that are normal and smart, which, I'm sure, isn't too hard... (hint: don't go for guys that are like anything on Russian tv :shudder:). |

A great statement.
Russia is going through the cultural upheaval that much of the world went through 30 years ago.
Whatever one thinks individually, the bottom line is that the attraction between two people irrespective of race is paramount. All else pales into insignificance.
Sooner rather than later we are all going to have to fit and live together on certain spots on the planet Earth whether we like it or not. |

Well what comes to figure skating (of course highly relevant in summer  ) seems to me that China is really beating Russia. Fun enough the young new couple from Moscow is only "half" Russian, as the girl is Chinese and the boy is Russian, don't know if they have love affair or not, but looks like Russia needs China... |

I don't understand why some men put limits on one nationality when there are so many different beautiful women out there.
I look in different places for my future male companion. It doesn't stop in my town. |
