I agree with that one. I think right now, Russia is trying to prove that is still should be respected by the international community, even though it's no longer a "superpower" by American standards... |
no actually russia is a super power now...come on it will be admitted into the G-8 |
IT IS a member of the G8. |

Our Dear Leader, Mr. Bush, blocked Russia's entrance to the WTO when they tried to enter last year...or was it in 2005? |

The so-called "Group of 8" most industrialised, richest, most powerful countries in the world.
Members:
USA
Russia
Japan
France
UK
Canada
Germany
Italy
In my own opinion, China, India, Mexico, Australia, Spain, Argentina, and Brazil also deserve to be in this group. But then, we'd have to make it G-15! |

actually Bush already stated that he supported Russia's entrance into the WTO...and we are waiting on Russia to make some changes which they already have. SO the USA is no longer blocking. Bush is very Pro Russia and Putin. The Democrats however are not. So Russia US relations will be greatly effected come this next primary.
As far as G-20...that really doesn't mean anything as all organizations have micro organizations with in them. G-8 is a much bigger deal. And really the world is getting seperated into about 6 major groups: North Amercian Union...the European Union...the Asian Union (so to speak) the Middle Eastern Union, the South American Union, and the African Union. This is the direction we are headed in. Which it is organizations like th G8 and the WTO that are creating this |
