It wasn't that long ago jojo, that you were asking a lot of questions about these. |

my own opinion...come on now Daria...surely I can see where someone else is coming from...and yet not totally identify with it. I can understand why they think and feel the way they do. I am very opinionated...now you know this! Certainly you and I agree and share the same views on all sorts of theings...Tri Lateral Commission etc etc. So what is your point...I'm still curious |

Here's a translation of vox16's earlier post:
Well I can still understand when "гг" (don't know what he's refering to here... mayber citizens?) Russians from over-the-hill (immigrants) teach us and how to live and why putin "узурпато р" (again didn't really understand...) is a tyrant and how everything here is drowning in corruption and so on and so forth, especially due to the fact that there is in-fact actual evidence to support this (or 'reasons for this'...).
But, when from there (over-the-hill) you hear "destroyed a great country damn-democrats!!", I fall into cognitive dissonance and can't seem to answer on the subject.
Great country - is that when just a bit out of Moscow and the republican capitals elementary food (however it's actually said in slang) is obtained with difficulty? When the long-green (probably a train(s)), smelling of sausage, rides back and forth each day? But while this is going on the burans (i think they're some sort of military ship, but i'm not sure...) and tanks are being conscienciously repaired, in the name of 'defence'?
And the question arises: 'How was this whole country supposed to be kept in unity at the beginning of the 90's, by bombing the capital cities of the neighbouring republics, right? Or give them some more sausage, so they don't make a fuss, and the Russian Federation will go without it somehow (cultural note: sausages, etc. were seen as a 'delicacy' of-a-sort in the ussr, cos there was a deficit...), it doesn't have to get used to it?
The only reason - there there was (our) bare-footed youth, and everything was seen through rose-tinted glasses, but here (and now), you have to work, or else you'll still have enough to buy a pair of pants, but you may not have enough already for the butter that goes on your bread, and you get so bitter and hurt, and it plays on your nostalgia for the 'great motherland'. Which, on top of everything, doesn't even exist anymore, and you can't even go over there and ascertain that everything is as shit as always.
Don't know... pretty accurate translation in my eyes... also pretty LATE lol! |
