I do not think I've ever met a marine. They are a real strong sounding bunch of men and women though.

A retired manager from my office at work said that everyone could benefit from serving in the armed services. Teaches you discipline and responsibility that could serve you well for a lifetime.

I probably wouldn't make it through basic training. The yelling would make me run!

no I had to run before I could get to the plane...when I was sitting in the plane...I was a Marine then...Marine Fighter Pilots also fly with the Bule Angels...as the USMC is part of the Navy. We are also the Presidents own which is why the Marines are always the first to go to places and is why We protect our Embassies and White house

Okay, now I learned another little tidbit today, thank you.

Yes absolutely...! Marines need aircraft to provide close air support to the troops on the ground...the difference between a Marine though...is that whether one is a cook...in the band...a truck driver...a pilot...a officer or enlisted...we are all combat trained and at the root of our basic training...is infantry...we all go to combat schools through out our service. We train to fire numerous weapons...and work with the different elements of a Marine Air Ground Task Force. And the training is always changing too...constantly being advanced and up graded. ARMY Rangers are basically trained like Marines...but not all soldiers become Rangers...All Marines though are...well...Marines...Semper Fi.
