what kind of flag is that in the picture anyway?

The Andreevski Flag (In English could be referred to as Andrei's flag). A proud symbol of the Russian Navy since God-only-knows what times. And yes, a lot of why it is as it is has to do with Scotland, but I never really got into that.

Tsk tsk, Stephen. I've never been a fat guy, but I have to say some of the nicest people I've ever met in my nearly 50 years have been overweight, to some degree. You better hope you never become a fat guy, and have to experience what they have to go through. Sad

Thanks. I've been told that before. Always up for compliments. At my age, they are few and far between. I'll take em where I can get em. Laughing

Well we were diverse too. The guy standing to the left of me (left if you are looking from the direction of where the picture was taken), Alik, is Ukarinian, and as I mentioned before we also had a Georgian, Artem, well, okay, he was half-Russian, just like me, lol, and several Azerbaijanians too. And also there was the Chechen, Isha Berzaev... A very dark individual he was, not very talkative... But his realtives always sent him good food that he was happy to share with us... Yes, we were were diverse.
