Anyways...so many Russians are making thier way to the west coast too...Especially to San Francisco. I like it though and it is what makes America even more beautiful! For years it had been Asians and South Americans...finally we get some more blondes and blue eyes |
I know that in San Francisco they have a Russian Embassy Branch there because there are so many of them living in the vicinity. Also there is a large old Russian immigrant community living there since the 40s and 50s, most of them came via Harbin, China. Bishop John Maximovitch+ was there spiritual leader and built the Russian Cathedral in San Francisco....he is now a saint in the Orthodox Church. I'm going to northern California on the 27th of this month...I can't wait.  |

| Ive never understood why people who move away from ghetto living situations in poor countries, would come to a place like the U.S. and try to recreate that ghetto, and all that those ghettos entail. Then when the violence gets out of control, instead of moving away, they blame the police for not protecting them, and white people for not caring. |

good point...it's due to envy...people come here for what we have...but when they realize that you actually have to work for it...they cry. It's the entitlement mentality that ultimately dooms the 3rd world...the victim role benefits no one except the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson |

Because they don't know any better. It's not like they create a ghetto. They are poor with little education and their neighborhood becomes ghetto because of it. It's common sense. Should I explain everything to you? I hope you can at least eat and go to the bathroom independently. |

What you have explained is a popular cop out, which is invalid in todays society, in the U.S. This lifestyle is glamorized by the people who insist on dwelling in these areas. They hardly ever make the attempt to relocate even when they have the means in which to do so. This shows a lack of core values. |

| well...true Jorge...people shopuld listen to Bill Cosby...but what about the immigrants who end up in the ghetto. Really the key is education...but then also I think not everyone has the brain capacity to compete in a high tech advanced society. There will always be the "10%" |

I am referring to the immigrants Surfguy, I was not talking about black people. I already know why they choose to remain in these crappy areas, and thats because they prefer to live among each other. But for individuals who move here for a "better life", it doesnt make sense to recreate what you tried to leave behind, and end up risking your families life in the process. These kids are always recruited into the neighborhood gangs, and generations of them never prosper here because of it. |
