Notice how Israel attacked Syria first. In fact in most conflicts in the Middle East that Israel has been involved in, it was the original aggressor. Israel stole land that originaly belonged to the Palestinian Arabs and that the Israelis say (based on nothing except the Bible) belongs to them. Gee, I can point on a random spot on the map and say, "Oh, my God promised me this land! I am going to start my own country there!". That's ridiculous! And then, instead of relaxing and tring to get along with it's neighbours, Israel starts a war against the arabs that has been going on for I think almost 50 years now! And USA helps them with this! How many Lebanese people died in the last Israeli invasion? Hundreds of thousands. So, who is the aggressor here? Come on, do the math!

Umm in the Yom Kippur War of 1973 it was Egypt and Syria who attacked first. And the Six-Day War was totally instigated by the the pan-arab states, especially Egypt, who had built up their military forces for an invasion of Israel and were quite vocal in calling for the total destruction of Israel. Israel only struck because it was backed into a corner with imminent threats of attack from the Pan-Arab nations. And the funny thing is that in the Six-Day War, Israel totally destroyed the Arab forces, and Israel was the over-all victors in the Yom Kippur War. Israel was also the only country that had the balls to destroy Iraq's nuclear facility back in the 80s - if it had not been for Israel, Iraq would have indeed had WMDs. A large portion of the world should be extremely grateful to Israel for doing what definitely needed to be done.

And by the way, Jews had been buying up large tracts of land from absentee-landlords in Palestine for well over a century prior to the creation of the state of Israel. And actually most of the land occupied by the State of Israel came from territorial gains from war - "spoils of war" - which has nothing to do with claims of God-promised land.

I do agree that more recently Israel has become the aggressor, and it seems that there's little to no provocation (at least not any that's made available to the public). Whereas in the prior wars there was a genuine threat, I don't think Hezbollah in southern Lebanon posed any legitimate threat to Israel. As for the attack in Syria, with silence from all parties involved, it's difficult to know what exactly is happening and the reasoning behind it all.

Well i have done a lot of reading on this and from what I can gather is that...the recent conflict in Southern Lebanon was all about destroying weapons caches...which was a success. And now the strike on Syria was also about even more weapon caches and also to let the Iranians know that they have no air defenses. No air defenses means that if your missile sites are targeted and there is no warning system...well welcome to destruction. It's funny too because durring the Gulf Wars...Iraq had no warning either and at that time they were supposedly the 4th largest military in the world. And now with our new bombs 14-ton super bomb, bigger than the Russian vacuum bomb. There is no hiding. So attitudes will be changing in the Middle East. It's funny too because Russia edges these nations on

surfguy - what will happen to this forum when you leave? It seems like the forum is slowly dying. You're the last hero who posts something here. I guess the founder and the admins did not listen to our advice and are not planning to make any changes to how they organize and promote the site. That's a mistake, because I think that this site has a lot of potential to be very popular.

US can't win Arabs particularly Al- Qeeda(Bin laden) b'cos Bin laden is formed by US itself. It catches Saddam but not bin laden. Us president bush is accused of having secret links, in order to cover his bin laden catch he turned his armor towards iraq.

Did US captured saddam honestly, who gave power to US to kill saddam son's. will Bush accept his daughters assaulted by anyone. No doubt, days of his life in graveyard is not too long. Even in afghan US is accused of using Phosphor powder and killing numerous people. Im not against to US but by the governement fools its people.

for history the governement has to make a common apology for his homicide in Hiroshima & Nagasaki (2nd world war, nuclear bombing) even for pan am bombing the govt is responsible.

Spice, this site has 1.5 million unique visitors every year. That is more people than even travel to Russia from the West each year and the audience is continually growing. That also makes it the most read travel guide about Russia in existence. It is on the first page of every search engine for every key seach term. I'm not sure how it could be more popular.

Or were you talking just about the forum? Interestingly enough, the forum is one of the most read sections of the site. But no one is reading the day-to-day threads like this. The ones that continually show up as some of the most-viewed pages on the whole site are ones about transport (eg. the St Petersburg - Tallinn train) and visa registration.

Maybe a makeover of the forum would attract some new posters, but I doubt it. I think I've made my view about why so few people participate in the forum clear enough in the past.

I'm curious as to how many people look at the blog pages. 1.5 million a year is pretty good...but I have friends who's sites do that in a day. So there is always room for growth. Hell my surf site does between 15,000 and 20,000 unique visitors a month. I think the site should change how the recent forum posts are posted

This is ok but really the posts here are some what old and need better topics too. I rarely check these out. I'm curious as to how many people view these pages

Just my two cents...and I am certainly no web master

The Intel has come out that he is burried in a cave there in Afghanistan...but if we acknoweledge his death then people will demand for us to down size our efforts in the war on terror. Bin Laden is...well a propaganda tool...as long as he is presumed alive then we have further reason. If the terrorist were smart they would claim him dead and launch revenge for thier leader's death...they should make him a martyr. Crabman...I know it's hard for you to accept but hey...what does it all really matter? BTW Crabs are some of the easiest creatures to bait and catch...and it is crab season right now too. http://www.bentbay.dk/binLaden_virus.htm

Cannot sleep, drinking coffee and watching a scary movie "Wolf Creek" about a killer in the Outback terrorizing stranded motorists. Freaky movie.

This was a true story. The killer was released and never charged. I don't see how this man got away with murder. Do they not have the man-power in Australia to investigate murder, especially when one survives this horrible ordeal and takes it to trial as a witness?
