This was a true story. The killer was released and never charged. I don't see how this man got away with murder. Do they not have the man-power in Australia to investigate murder, especially when one survives this horrible ordeal and takes it to trial as a witness? |

I think too much. This is why I have insomnia and when it is hot out, I never sleep. Coffee does not interfere with my sleep.
Well it is good that you can find time to live, be wild and uninhibited. I assume it is in order wild/Aussie and uninhibited/Russkie. |

These incidents were awful!
I think it’s a very good idea for every country to apologise for killing innocent civilians. I totally agree. Its also doubly tragic that pre-Hiroshima science had no idea about the lingering effects of lethal radiation fallout from an atomic blast.

Tragic. And, unfortunately, like the Germans (especially with regard to the Soviets), the Japanese reaped the whirlwind. Tragic for them too.

By the way, how many victors in history do you know of that rebuild their vanquished enemies’ (Japan’s and West Germany’s) infrastructure and institutions? Then, willingly leave, while helping the vanquished to become two of the most successful countries the world has ever seen (plus also become strong friends)? | Well Done DV! I visited Peace Memorial Park when I visited and lived in Japan. I also Visited Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial...very different attitudes. I find my life funny...Because I fell madly in Love with German Girl...And then a Japanese Girl...and more recently A Russian Girl...gosh talk about sleeping with the enemy! Oh but wait...they are not the enemy...just the women I have loved. |
