Hello,

I am leaving soon for St. Petersburg, where I am staying with a friend. But I have a tourist visa that I got through this site.

1. When I fill out my customs form, what do I put down for a "local address"? Do I put my friend's address? Or do I have to put some hotel address? (In which case, I can't read it is there is on my papers from your site; I do not know the Cyrillic alphabet...)

2. If I am asked at customs, am I supposed to say that I'm staying in a hotel? Or do I just say that I'm staying with a friend (even though I have a tourist visa)?

3. What's the likelihood of being asked anything at all at customs?

Thanks!

Darren

I don't think you are asked what hotel you are staying at on the customs form. The customs form is more for what you are bringing into the country and how much money. In case I am wrong, just put the information that is listed on your invitation. There should be a hotel listed there.

Customs and Passport Control does not really ask you anything at all. It is rare that they even speak to you.

As long as you have the correct documents, I find that they could really care less what you do.
