Was wondering whether anybody can recommend an area of Moscow which is very built up and dense, particularly with tall old communist styled blocks. If there is any high ground nearby then this would be ideal as its for a photographic shot.

Thanks

Simon

You can go to many of Moscow outskirts (Kolomenskoe, Mar’ino, Yugo-Zapadnaya, Sviblovo, Strogino .et.c.) for that shot and take a picture from the top of one of those buildings. Another option is to go to Google Earth and pick a cluster of buildings that you like best Very Happy

Tall blocks are not too old - about 1975 and later. As for locations,
as suggested - Strogino from Stroginskiy bridge; Bibirevo from overpass at Altufjevskoe shosse ( eastern side ); districts near Milashenkova-Komdiva orlova streets overpass; Beskudnikovo - pedesterian bridge over Beskudnikovo train station. Nagatino - metro+auto bridge (view from eastern side) on Prospekt Andropova. Maryino+Brateevo - from Maryinski bridge ( metro Maryino )

Maybe auto bridge near Novogireevo train ( not metro ) station, but I'm not sure if it not blocked by trees and if it have building situated in more or less 'picturesque' way ( opposed to one long building blocking all view ).
Views from eastern MKAD ( outer side ) - Zhulebino, Novokosino.

added: Yuzhnoe Butovo, views from light metro stations. It is newly built, but pretty much resemble locations built in 80s-90s.
