Hello

I have a dual citizenship; a British and a Croatian.

I think of visiting Russia entering from Ukraine.

Is it legal to travel from UK to Russia on two passports.

The potential benefit is that Ukraine is visa free for British passport holders and Russia is visa free for Croatians as long as they hold official invitation.

Can Russian customs officers grow suspicious of someone travelling this way?

Thanks

Igor

Very neat Igor,
I see no reason why this would not work.
The Russians might question why there was no exit stamp from the Ukrainian Immigration Control in your croatian passport but Ukrainian immigration is not the concern of the Russian Immigration Control at the border. yes there might be questions but since you have valid travel documents you should be okay with the Russians. Make sure your invititation and croatian passport are in order for the russians.
As an aside, will you be travelling in a car or by other means? I am interested in car border formalities, documents and insurance for the Ukraine/EU and Ukraine/Russia. If you have such information please post it as it may help me plan for travel to the Crimea and to Sochi via central europe in the future.
Regards
Les

Use the passport that is MOST beneficial for you to use. If you suspect the Russians migration police like Croatians best, use your Croatioan passport. You still just have a VISA signed for one of your passports.
