Hello Everyone,

I am from England and I was wondering if anyone else has had similar difficulties getting through to a mobile number in St Petersburg?
I have been phoning my Girlfriend in St Petersburg for just over a year and it has never been easy to get a connection. However, for the last month or so we have only been able to get a connection for a few seconds at a time before it cuts off.
I wondered if others have had this problem? I am particularly interested to know if people from other countries with better diplomatic relations with Russia than Britain are having an easier time? I also wonder if I am being blocked by Russian authorities? This is becuase one day I told my Girlfriend I'd bought a book by Alexander Litvinenko. Having read the book and two other by Anna Politskovskya I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case.

Does anyone have any thoughts. All the best to everyone,

Rufus

I have had no problems getting through to my Fiancee in St Petersburg.

I am in Australia, and I have called from my mobile, my land-line and Skype.

Brian, thanks very much for the information about phoning St Petersburg from Australia.

Mister_wizz, I'll keep a close eye on my tea and indeed all my drinks.

Since you're British, don't kick any rocks that are basketball size or larger while in Russian city. If a stranger gives you a pat on the back as they walk past you, it may have been more than just a pat you were given.
