I heard there are many horrible tasting cigs in Russia. For the smokers out there which ones are your favorite? and how much a pack...

cpok,
Faberge blue or Pyotr 1st silver. Zolotaya's are sort of OK. Pyotr 1st black is real post-hangover material. I smoke the milder ones nowadays (8 mg strength). Cost? Given I pay $10 for a pack of 20 here I personally don't give a rat's what they cost in Russia. Last time I went it was about 30pyb for Faberge's and 15 for Pyotr's. So a carton was costing me peanuts. I am in seventh heaven in Russia as I can indulge my smoking and drinking habits ad nauseum without breaking the bank.

Ahhh old information....

The smokes in Russia are just fine, cheap and easy to find. Every little phone booth kiosk will have at least 1/2 it's window space devoted to cigs. Just point to one you want to try..

Before going home I picked 2 packs each of 5 different brands at random to take home with me. Turns out that 2 of them were made by Philip Morris.

There was a brand I particularly liked.. but forget the name.. has charcoal in the filter.

Now.. the really really cheap smokes.. Hmmm cannot remember the name but as I recall it was a sort of red and white pack.. Kind of long flat pack like Canadian ' Players' brand? Anyway.. these are the old style unfiltered.. Think of Camel unfiltered and you will get the idea..

Sure.. give them a try.. they are REALLY cheap.. but only inhale with 1 lung so you'll have something to get home on.

So. just pick something that looks interesting.. if you like it.. tear off the top of the box and show it when you are going out for more.

I'd advise old style unfiltered Belomorcanal or Prima. Very old and famous.

Old info? Still relevant though.
I do believe bunker6 is "taking the piss" as it were. I bought the Prima Nostlgiya's that featured Lenin & Stalin as well as the Belomorkanal's...suck on a gorilla's armpit hair first and these little gems will be like manna from heaven.....

UsualSuspect, no shit my dear it tastes unlike what most are used to.
But it's just the way the organic tobacco smells like, no chemistry. At least as long as it is the original soviet brand, not something looking like that.
