Here is my problem, I'm going to stay in Togliatti for about 29 days in a rented flat, however I don't know if the landlord will be willing to help me registry and I don't want to count on that alone.

the hotels I contacted told me they will only do visa registration for the days I stay..

I have a Russian friend who lives in Togliatti but she doesn't have a propiska of that city in her passport, and since she just moved in there she doesn't have any friends who could help me...

I heard that I can registry myself if i get a registation request letter from the company that gave me the visa inviation and take it to the local police station (OVIR), anyone ever heard about this? does it usually works?

I don't want to have to spend 29 days in a hotel just because I need a registration... Sad
