Great site!

It's been stated by site admin (post of 23.1.7) that any visa support agencies "advertising" on the Way To Russia site will deal with registration of their clients once they arrive in Russia. Which are these agencies? I can't find the link or advertisments. I've looked at several agencies via other sites and not one of them mentions support with registration in Russia.
Secondly, more recent info on Way To Russia suggests that although associated companies can register you, it is quicker and easier to get your Russia host to do it for you. Is it OK to get a private individual to register you even if you come in on a tourist visa (as opposed to a private visa) through an agency?
If my Russian friend registers me via the post office, does it have to be a local one of can it be any one in Moscow?

Thanks!33

The rules have changed a bit since admin's post. These days registration is the responsibility of the accommodating party (hotel or apartment owner). Visa support companies can still provide assistance with registration though.

To answer your question, yes, a private individual can register you at any post office.

Hi Gregg, thanks for that.
Just to be sure, my friend can register me even though my invitation is a tourist one, not a private one issued by my friend??

Cheers again!
